Serving Others

Serving Others: It’s such a fundamental aspect of life here at Baker Memorial UMC that it serves as one of the three cornerstones of who we are. Creating fellowship with Wednesday Night Suppers. Helping prepare meals for Lazarus House. Providing food for those in need by working with Northern Illinois Food Bank. Making pillows for breast cancer patients. Being a Stephen Minister to help those handling a loss or a life that can’t be borne alone just now. Making a prayer quilt, to wrap a recipient not just in cloth but also in God’s love. Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Even traveling far afield, such as to distant states, to rebuild homes and help others.

And so much more.
